EVENT DESCRIPTION -
A study group for women (and men) interested in learning about the issues and actions of the new UN entity "UN Women", the work of related NGOs locally and internationally such as Gather the Women, See Jane Do, Soroptimists, Women Waking the World, Women of Worth, Friendship Club, University Women, and more. We'll meet every month to study what is being and can be done to create a culture of respect for both genders. Every other month we'll meet as UNA Women's Circle (all women and girls), and alternately as UNA: Focus on Women (all genders welcome). Special attention will be give to "Girl Up" and the UN's Millennium Development Goals.
